I recently enjoyed a family getaway at La Clairière, a lovely old-school hotel that truly embraces the charm of staying in the heart of nature. Nestled close to Ribeauville, it offered us peaceful surroundings, divine views, and was perfect for unwinding from our busy London lives. Both my kids couldn't get enough of the swimming pool-it was an excellent way for them to let off steam. Mornings were a treat too; the breakfast was well worth the additional fee with excellent options that catered to everyone's tastes, setting the right tone for the day. As a family-friendly place, all of us felt welcomed. Our hosts were attentive and friendly, which made the experience feel personal. Just 8 km away, we explored the Jean Sipp Winery, and my partner and I enjoyed a light tasting while the kids played nearby. Honestly, we left wishing we'd booked a longer stay at La Clairière; it's a wonderful spot for families looking for nature and a peaceful retreat.
